Is There Any Hope?

It's easy to see that this administration is exactly as the film describes. They don't care about us at all. They don't care about anything except money. Sure, they tell everybody it's about democracy and freedom, etc. But that's just so much Febreeze to cover up the putrid stench of the shit these guys are shoveling. And people continue to trust these assholes! Hell, Tom Delay just won his primary!!! I said it during the 2004 campaign, and back in 2000, too, when even I wasn't happy with Vice President Gore's campaign: you just can't trust these Republicans. Now people will freak out about statements like that, saying they're too general, but seriously, these guys are evil. I'm not saying that all Democrats are saints, either, but lying about getting head from an intern and lying about not knowing about the imminent disaster that was Katrina show you the difference. See, all politicians lie through their teeth. It's a pre-requisite for the job. But if Democrats lie, it's usually not about totally screwing a large group of people. It's usually just about screwing. But these crafty neo-cons have elevated lying in the name of greed to an almost holy level (don't worry, I won't go nuts on religion - I gave up religion for Lent). I'll spare you the list, plus it would give me carpel-tunnel to type everything Bush & Co. have bullshitted us about in the past 5 years. But there just might be hope, my liberal, progressive friends. Yes, a New Hope! (relax, geeks, not Luke Skywalker. But how cool would it be to see Darth Cheney's hand cut off?)

They've gone too far. Dubya's polls are at an all time low. And drunk-ass Dick has one of the lowest approval ratings of all time at 18%! Even people that for some reason thought John Kerry was worse, and ended up voting for the retard must now be feeling like the real retards. These guys are evil, plain and simple, and they must be removed before they do any more harm to our country. Think about it: these guys are the most arrogant pricks to ever hold office. They ignore not only public opinion, polls, and the oppostion party, but logic, common sense, and facts!

This is why I'm really worried. See, they believe they have the authority to do whatever they want, and that they are above the law. Why else would Cheney have waited 18 hours before he spoke with the police after shooting his friend in the face? He was wasted, sure, but he seems to think that because he's the Veep, he doesn't have to play by the same rules that we all do. If I shot a guy in the face, I'm pretty damn sure they cops would have taken me "downtown" for a few questions. My point is that with attitudes like that, the Bush administration may do one of the stupidest things in the history of humanity, and we'll all just be sitting at home, watching it happen as they interrupt "American Idol." They might decide to bomb Iran. Another "pre-emptive war" like Iraq. This would really start World War III. A war between religions and philosophies that will not be strictly drawn by geographical borders or have traditional "teams" like the Axis and Allies. In other words, WWIII would make a really shitty board game.

We MUST all vote every single Republican out of office this Fall without exception, and here's the reason: so Bush and Cheney may be impeached, and thrown out of office in disgrace and shame. Only a united Democratic Congress (like the Republicans in 1998 that impeached a President over a damn bj) will be able to successfully impeach Bush. With the way things are now, even though a lot of Republican Senators and Representatives are distancing themselves from the administration on the Dubai ports deal and the illegal wire-tapping surveillance, they'd never dream of voting to impeach their own guy. They're too loyal. Like an old dog that's had a massive head injury. Or one of those battered white trash women on "Cops" as they plead with the police for their abusive shithead husbands to not be taken away to jail. They scream at the cops with tears streaming down their bruised and bloody purple cheeks, "he's a good man, he's just upset, ocifer! Lee heem alone! I fell, I fell!" So we need the opposition party in there to get the job done.
Anything less leaves the door open for war.

T-to-the-B

So while "lazy" is in the title of this blog, I must admit that I have been remarkably lazy for the past month, even by my standards. I apologize to those few of you that have bookmarked the site and are sick of not seeing anything new. I pledge that you will can look forward to new rantings, new ravings, and an all-out assault on the criminal bastards that continue to run our country into the ground. Plus, a defense of Jon Stewart's performance at the Oscars. (he rocked- fuck Tom Shales)

So again, I beg your forgiveness, my fellow revolutionairies, but I hate February. I also blame "American Idol," and my recent obsession with The Boondocks. Damn fine tv show.
